The annual meeting of the American Diabetes Association will start June 12th. The meeting lasts five days and brings together researchers, scientists, doctors, nurses and other health professionals to discuss new findings in diabetes research and innovation. This is the 80th meeting and it will be the first time it is virtual because of COVID-19. This 5-day virtual event brings the latest, cutting-edge advances in diabetes research, prevention and care. There will be more than 800 presentations and nearly 200 virtual sessions and award lectures, including the first findings from clinical trials. As usual, all of us at Sansum Diabetes Research Institute will have a big presence with presentations related to both our Mil Familias and Farming for Life programs. We will also be presenting on other topics such as technology and diabetes, the artificial pancreas and a study involving travel and diabetes. Stay tuned as we will be posting our new research on this website.
